Does not block light
These curtains are not blackout, they filter light just the same as regular curtains. They are decent curtains, just not blackout as advertised. Glad I put them up to be sure before washing, so I can return.

These curtains are no more than a strip of fabric with grommets on it. Most curtain panels are almost twice as wide. Plus they are not blackout. Save your money and keep shopping. We returned ours.

These are light filtering, not black out. It's still very bright in my room early morning and evening.
