Love the flickering flame
I've now bought more than 8 of these solar lanterns because I love the flickering flame at night which adds ambience to our back patio. It does need at least 8 hours of direct sunlight each day, otherwise when it comes on at dusk, it tends to flash intermittently rather than flicker like a flame. I love the slightly oriental style and have it in both black and in red.

I loved the comforter and picture for my spare bedroom I redecorated. The lantern is nice, but it has the blinking fire look which I didn't realize it had.

Looks great both day and night
I've already bought several of these solar lanterns in black, but decided to go with red for some visual interest and it looks especially striking set amongst the bright pink geraniums. These lanterns are an attractive design that looks slightly oriental with frosted glass, but even nicer at night as the light is a flickering flame. Couldn't be more pleased with these lanterns!
