I got this to cover steps that lead to our doggie door. I cut it up and it fit perfectly. It does a great job of drying and wiping their feet as they come it and keeps the little steps cool for them. It has a rubber base so it doesn't slip and is pretty absorbent considering how short the pile on the rug is.

Small nonslip rug
We are actually using this rug at the bottom of our stairs. It was always slippery when people stepped off the stairs onto the hardwood floor. This has worked out perfectly for the safety factor and it somewhat coordinates, at least in color, the other area rugs we have in the room. We are very pleased.
