Takes the guesswork out of watering
This meter takes all the guesswork out of watering my potted plants. By inserting the probe into the dirt, it accurately tells me whether the plant's dirt is wet, just moist, or dry, and I can then water accordingly. This prevents both over watering, of which I'm usually guilty, or not watering often enough. I've already recommended this meter to a gardening friend!
