I love the look of this lamp, I wanted to use it next to my bed for easy storage of small electronics (alarm clock, remotes, etc). When I went to assemble the lamp shade, a critical component was missing. It appeared someone else had purchased this item before (open box, on the shelf) but failed to put all of the accessories back before returning it to the store. I also was looking for a "turn the knob" feature and not a pull string. When turning my lamp on / off, the connection isn't always there and I have to rattle the knob. Other than that, I love the lamp !
