Try a new shade - lamp shade, that is!
The lamps I wanted were on the shelves with round shades, which didn’t resonate with my room. It has a lot of sharp angles. We had so many choices of colors and styles, but it didn’t take long to find these slightly oblong white shades. We tried various colors, but white was best. Room revitalized: Check!
